France Télévisions is launching an innovative TV news application using the Joshfire Framework
During IFA (2−7 September 2011), public broadcasting group France Télévisions is launching an innovative catch-up news application for connected TV. Users will be able to access news bulletins broadcast on France 2, France 3 and 1ère during the preceding 24 hours via an interactive facility that allows them to browse regional, national and overseas news bulletins by geographical area. The app was developed by Joshfire using the Joshfire open source framework dedicated to multi-device applications. This will initially be available on Philips television sets.
Over the next few months, France Télévisions will be offering Internet-connected viewers more and more features, apps and services to coincide with the rollout of connected TV.
Why not take a look for yourself at IFA? France Télévisions’ app will be displayed on Philips (Hall 22/101) stands or take a look at a video demo of the app (in french).
